Information we collect
We collect the contact, couple, event, venue, menu, planner, mailing, allergy, dietary restriction, accessibility, and special-request information you choose to submit. We also keep proposals, agreement acceptance records, payment status, and communications about your event.
How we use it
We use this information to review availability, prepare and deliver catering proposals, plan service, communicate with you, process deposits and invoices, document agreement acceptance, meet food-safety responsibilities, and keep business and tax records.
Website analytics
We use a first-party visitor cookie and event counts to understand page visits and the steps from menu building through inquiry, proposal acceptance, and deposit payment. This reporting is used to improve the wedding website and does not collect your IP address, advertising identifiers, names, contact details, allergies, special requests, or payment details for analytics. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
When information is shared
We share information only as reasonably needed with service providers that help us operate the proposal, hosting, email, contract, and payment process, including Square for invoicing and payment. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect people, food safety, our business, or our legal rights. We do not sell bride or guest information.
Allergy information
Please provide only information needed for safe food planning. We use allergy and dietary details to assess requested accommodations and may discuss those details with the bride or designated event contact. An accommodation is not confirmed until Slow Smoke Weddings approves it in writing.
Retention and choices
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the proposal, event, payment, legal, safety, and recordkeeping purposes. To request a correction or ask about deletion of information that we are not legally required to retain, contact us using the information below.
